Nominate your STAR employees for the 2018 Stars of South Carolina Hospitality Awards

Now’s the time to nominate your star employees for the 2018 Stars of South Carolina Hospitality Awards. The program recognizes outstanding accomplishments and employees in SC’s hospitality industry. The awards offer you, as hotel and restaurant operators, the opportunity to nominate your outstanding employees, earning them recognition not only within the company, but on a statewide level.

Please take note of the December 29th nomination deadline. The winners will be honored at an awards luncheon on January 30th in Myrtle Beach.

Awards Categories

 

Hotel Awards

FRONT OF HOUSE EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR
Nominees must be employed in a non-managerial position in a front of house position with regular daily customer contact, work at least 20 hours per week and served the industry for at least three years.

HEART OF HOUSE EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR
Nominees must be employed in a non-managerial position in a back of house position with minimal customer contact, work at least 20 hours per week and served the industry for at least three years.

MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR
Nominees must be employed in a managerial position, work full-time and have served the industry for at least three years.

HOTELIER OF THE YEAR                                                      
This award honors the hotel owner, manager, or company that shows exemplary customer service, employee relations, community service and dedication to advancing the lodging industry.

 

Restaurant Awards

OUTSTANDING CHEF OF THE YEAR
This award honors the chef that shows exemplary culinary knowledge & skills in a restaurant or hospitality environment.

RESTAURATEUR OF THE YEAR                                    
This award honors the restaurant owner, manager, or company that shows exemplary customer service, employee relations, community service, and dedication to advancing the foodservice industry.

 

Business Awards

 

SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR             
Nominees must be a company or someone employed by a SCRLA member company supplying products and/or services to the industry. Award is judged on involvement, exceptional service, quality & history of working to advance the industry’s business expertise.

EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR
This award honors a person in the education field for outstanding achievement in contributing innovative ideas, methods or programs that have advanced teaching, learning or practice in the field of hospitality and tourism education.

 

COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD
This award is given for a program that demonstrates the business cares about the local community. Examples include campaigns to benefit local or national service organizations or charities, service to any part of the community through a special project and joint undertakings with community groups.
